I don't collect them, but I still sleep with the same soft toy I've had since I was 3 (a plush Sylvester the cat toy)...

*blush* It's calming, okay? Tongue
I'll admit it... I still collect Beanie Babies.

Only the old, cute ones though (not those rainbow, childish pieces of crap they make today). Since the market for them has pretty much diminished, I can purchase all the ones I could only dream of having ten years ago.
I had a few toys and such when I was younger, but now I've got a plush dog bone with "bite me" written on it.

I saw it in the store and had to have it. ^_^
I have about 20 teddybears people have given me over the years -- friends, lovers, students.  Most of them tell me "You always reminded me of a bear..."
I had this Simba plush for 12 years, he's a gettin' old! :'(

Hello!

Don't worry about it, I used to collect beanie babies, and I'm a boy.

My boyfriend and I just vacationed in New Mexico and he got me a plush baby coyote named Joey.

We accidentally abandoned him in a hotel room and had to drive back 70 miles to rescue him. One of our cats is afraid of him...
Well, I have about 30 Eeyores (yeah, and I'm a 49 year-old ex-infantry officer; sue me).  Rolleyes
I have a Pound Puppy from when I was 5 and I can't sleep through the night without a handkerchief pressed to my mouth and nose.
I go through periods of obsessively making crocheted soft toys. Then all my friends and family end up getting woolly monsters as gifts because I make so many of them that I don't have enough space for them.

I suppose I'm the opposite of a soft toy collecter, I'm a soft toy dispenser!

I'm more of a security blanket girl myself...
I have a stuffied Lion (in a teddy bear sitting position) i've had since I was like 1, named Buddy. One vacation to Hawaii I thought I left him in our hotel when we were on the plane back to the states. I cried. ;-;

Mercifully I realized I had left him at home the entire trip. o.O

And recently i'm getting a plush of Carbuncle from ffxi. It looks so cute. c.c I want to keep it and give it to my future kid.
I have a few around the room - a few koalas. One is on the shelf above my computer, one is on the TV and another is on one of my speakers. I've had the one on the shelf since I was 10.

I have a giant plush lobster- named Lobster, of course.

OMG, I bought one of those a few weeks ago! I also got a plush blue, white and black rattlesnake on the same trip. They sell them at airports in Australia.

I've had a stuffed mouse puppet named Ralph since I was five, I still sleep with him.
I never liked dolls so I guess stuffed animals or "plushies" filled that void for me. When I was little I always carried my talking Simba with me (I still have him and he still talks) and then my Timon and Pumbaa finger pupets that the bus driver tried in vain to confensgate from me and I had to have them written into my IEP because I would have a panic attack if they were not with me. He did not get them and stoped the bus for an hour trying to make me surrender them to him (jerk) he got in big trouble for that too. (I still have them)  I will never part with the bigger Timon plushie that my brother gave me for Xmas one year. He's falling apart at the seems and you can see his stuffing and I will still never give him up. I can't sleep if I'm not holding onto him.   I also collect meerkat stuffed animals but they are part of my meerkat collection.
