Well, Gareth of course. But I discourage it, too many people are bugging him about it.
The preview button helps a little, but there should certainly be a edit button that allows you to edit your message only once ten minutes after it being posted.
"Those"? I guess I just misinterpret you now, you should know there's already a preview button. At the bottom of the page when you post, beside the submit button.

I am not sure, but I think there were a 'Last time edited - date' before the edit button disappeared too.
^ was probarbly reffering to Meiloyn.
What about an 'if no-one have posted in the thread after you' edit button .
You can make up for misunderstandings by correcting it with another post.
Haven't gone too bad so far, except for this thread.
Futher on the 'if no-one have posted in the thread after you' edit button. If there were a such post comming up while you launch yours it would still be possible to edit your post, if the post time difference is below 5-15 min. And there will be a red line between the almost simultaneos posts.
Heh! I remember your pic with .jamie which suddenly disappeared.

Would it actually be so bad to have some dotted or blanked posts?
I'm on some other forums. This is seen once in a while, but it doesn't seem to be a noticeable burden. I've never seen complaints about it on those forums.
Needless to say, I'm all for having an edit button...
I'll join the chorus of people who would like to have the option of editing or deleting their posts. I can't stand it when my posts have typos and I'm stuck with them. It really bugs me. I do my best to get it right, but sometimes mistakes slip through.
