It's a new one on me. Sorry if I sound uneducated.

No, I don't. But I'm very much into Techno and House, particularly Minimal Techno and House. Although the genre got a little boring in 2006.
Gabber/Hardcore is a little too fast for me, I like more delicate and subtle stuff

I listen to hard dance music, but gabber is pushing the boat out just a little bit too far for me!
That said, I would probably dance to a sirening car alarm once 'trolleyed'.

Although I am quite capable of producing gabber, I prefer happy hardcore.

Gabber really put me off the whole dance music scene.
I loved the whole rave/techno thing in the early 90's. Attended the likes of Eurodance and rezerection and also clubs like FUBAR and the Booya. Great times and events but it was when gabber became much more prominent in 1994 that I had started to have enough. 1995 went off to university and by that point I had started to get much more into indie.
