I used to drive myself crazy (literally literally) trying to work out all possible responses that the other person could make to my (so far) imaginagry statement so I would be prepared for "the real world". Didn't work of course... they always managed to say something that was (to me) *totally* off the wall.
2 examples spring to mind with G.P's
Me: Blah blah problems depressed etc
G.P: Are your bowels open?
Me: (in head... did he hear/smell something? is this an improper offer? did I leave my cycle clips on? etc)
G.P2: How are your higher mental functions today?
I still don't even understand question 2, let alone how to answer it.
