I have more conflict in killing a deer in hunting season than putting a thug, or a molester in their coffin. That's my belief, and I'm also entitled to it. And I really don't care too much about the consequences because I don't have anything to live for anyway. I've experienced what this world has to offer for us, if you think I'm gonna stay here another 61 years or more, you're crazy. Now it's just a matter of how many of these types I take down with me.
No, though I do have the training, and I have performed operations here in this ****** up city, I do rant a great deal. Realistically if I was to actually do ANYTHING against the JRC, it would have been me infiltrating as an orderly, they're always looking for more of those, and I meet the requirements. It was discussed and it's not an option. 1 I'm not gonna pay for all the travel expences, 2 right now with all the *** thats gone on the past year, I'm in no condition to do ANYTHING thats gonna last 3 months. Further, at this point, I'm just looking for the excuse to be a martyr. I'm tired of the bullshit, tired of the whole thing, and I want the excuse to *** someone off. The government don't want me, I'm tired of not being able to do anything about the bullshit I see around me every god damn day, and I just want the excuse .
Forgive me. You're right, it's unprofessional. I just don't **** care no more. If the FBI wants to put me away, they know where I'm at, they can go ahead and do it. But I'm gonna go out with a bang I promise you.
I think a good demonstration at the facility would be in order, preceded by good information for the media. We could also have a "counter-convention" and have an autism war-crimes trial.
I plan to handout out Wonderbread to people on the way in to this year's ASA Conference Board meeting. You are what you eat.

On JRC, I mean a demonstration at the facility and also at the ASA convention if it is stupid enough to allow JRC in the exhibit hall. On GP, I think a demonstration outside of the annual meeting of the Panel of Professional Advisors (PPA) is warranted.
Why? If you can get a copy of the book by David Holmes of Eden Institute, something like "Autism throughout the Lifespan, The Eden Model", turn to about pp 121 for a list of what Holmes considers to be acceptable "treatment options"... like pepper spray, ammonia inhalant, forced repetition of an undesirable behavior, ear tug, hair pull, rubber band on wrist etc.
This is an evil man who doesn't belong on the ASA board. He has a seat on it as chair of the PPA. I got support to remove him from one board member last year, Rick Rollens (MIND Institute) of all people. I got no help at all from our two token members on the board.

I was a student there from 1989-1992. Back then, the school was called Behavior Research Institute and the main school building was at 240 Laban Street in Providence, R.I.. There were, at that time, about 8 satellite residences in the nearby suburbs of Attleboro, Seekonk, and Rehoboth Massachussetts. This was just a couple of years before the tremendous growth spurt they experienced. I'd estimate about 5 years before the school building moved up to Massachussetts and they acquired a lot of new properties.
Anyway, I was a student at the time Linda Cornelison passed away. She was a resident of the "Frenier" house, which I believe is in Rehoboth. I didn't have much interaction with her, as I was one of two or perhaps 3 students that weren't *** or learning disabled. At that time, the school was making their transition from dealing solely with the severely developmentally disabled and self-abusive to students with more mainstream/common issues.
When I first arrived there, the school had about 60 students and catered to mostly severely autisitic/mentaly *** people with a high incidence of self-asusive behavior and uncontrollable violence. During the three years that I was there, they started accepting more and more students that were actually school aged kids (14-21) with higher intellignece/fuctioning. They started to get people more like myself: Incorrigible delinquents. Or, they would get girls with compulsions and eating disorders. They can pretty much thank me for that. At that time, I heard rumors of my school district paying 150K a year to remand me there. And that was 17 years ago. I'd imagine they probably command 225K a student now. Which is how they can afford all of these luxurious homes that are decorated by that Tobinworld lady like something out of a mental patient's interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. But having horrible aesthetic taste is the least of their crimes. Loud clashing color schemes were the least of my worries while I was a student there.
Anyway, by diversifying their student body and doing a bangup job of selling themselves with photo/video media at seminars/trade shows/etc, they were able to get their name out there and a reputation for successfully dealing with higher functioning students. Then, the whole place got even creepier and enrollment went up like 300% from that time. They appeal to parents like mine, who, are middle class or aupper middle class and live in affluent school districts where the fiscal resources are such that 150K a year to house a studfent who is delinquent or violent is not such a bad alternative to having to fight the parents in court and risk the kid staying in his high school and killing somebody. The way I see, it, it's a small price to pay. Because parents like mine have a modicum of money, and they will fight in the legal system to keep their kid out of jail and in school. So, I believe, what happens, is that the parents, the school district, and the courts come to an agreement that the child is "emotionaly disturbed" or whatever, and they say he/she is not inherently criminal, but troubled and in need of "therapy." I'll tell you this: If I was a poor Black kid from NYC, as opposed to the gifted son of a college professor from LI, I would have been put in juvenile detention and that would have been that. So, in my case, I feel I received the "benefits" of racial/economic privelege. I was commiting CRIMES. I was cutting classes, destroying things, assaulting adults......I should have been placed in Juvenile Detention. Instead, I now have an experience that no one else but maybe 400-500 other kids in the whole country/world can relate to. I cannot even explain it to people. Most people think I'm a bullshit artist who watches too much Clockwork Orange when I describe this place to them. While Juvenile Detention is a bad place too, at least I would have had a definite sentence, and, upon realease could relate to and explain my situation to others.
Anyway, admittedly, this post rambles and is not representatie of my best writing,, so, if anyone has any questions regarding my experience, or how the place was run during my time there, I will be glad to oblige you. E-mail = Dystopianvictim@yahoo.com.

I don't often talk about it, but I can relate to your story: I spent some time in a public institution as a teenager because uninformed, unenglightened jerk-offs in authority (who worked for the hospital/insurance company and probably received commission) convinced my naive (also-aspie) parents that having me committed would fix me and eradicate unwanted behavior that was actually situational. I was punished for being aspie, antisocial, and depressed, at a time when my teenage selfhood ought to have been respected and protected. Institutions such as these are only money-machines that enforce societally-approved victimization of undesirables to protect their cherished status quo.
Why couldn't they leave the poor child alone? She could not talk.
This not the first time we have heard about this institution being related with abuse but this is MURDER!
I would like her fellow Americans citizens to protest. I can not be much help since I do not live in that country.
I was sent to a hospital for depression when I was 16 and got told the same lies to my face about how it was like living in a college dorm. Yeah....if your college is at the penal farm. :?
Ugh! My eyes are still burning from looking at images of that place on their website.
Who decorated that place, the Easter Bunny on crack?

I forget her name is Judy something-or-other. She runs TobinWorld, the sister program to JRC that is out in California. Her place is also decorated like *** kids got hold of paintrollers and acid.
If nothing pans out in defending these Autistic kids, maybe you can get some stereotyical homosexuals to protest the place's interior decorations. If I was some "sensitive" guy that had a penchant for wearing very high denim shorts with construction boots with my shirt knotted in the front, I'd storm the bastille in outrage. The place looks like Warhol and Lichtenstein went apeshit bananas on Crystal Meth.
Anyway, I noticed they have a blog, there haven't been any comments left that I can see...and the last entry says "Good Morning America and Nightline will be visiting JRC this Friday, April 7th, 2006."
Wouldn't that be a nice time to stand in front with a sign? Where's the ASMan when you need him?
