Don't you have to go with her?
In the ones I had to do the school gave me the day off, apart from a 10 minute appointment. But all they had to say was that I was good, and then I went home. My appointments generally lasted about 1 minute.
I hope you don't get grounded.

I remember those. In my school system they were held at night, we kids stayed home with a babysitter, and both our parents went. Often my parents got complaints about my underachieving, especially during my teen years, but they couldn't really ground me because I hardly went anywhere!
Anyway, hope it goes OK.02-07-2007, 01:51 AM
The only thing I really remember is how different other kids were when with their parent. I felt more mature with my dad, the bullies and 'hard' kids were clearly more vulnerable with their parents.

Nah. It's the evening and it's cold. I'd go if the weather were better.
I wasn't grounded.

Good for you. No grounding is good.
What are your grades like? Borderline passing, or are you in danger of failing? Hope you parents are willing to help if you're in grade trouble, or else your teacher. School really sucks when you don't get what they're teaching. Well, it usually sucks anyway, but that just makes it worse.

Our parent-teacher interviews were also at night after school.. The kids could come if they wanted but I dont think many did. I wouldnt know I avoided the place as much as possible, which was easy to do since the school was a 10 min drive away. My mother always wanted me to go with her & I was just like ahh nope aint gonna happen.. From what I gather all the teachers basically said the same thing. I'm quite & well behaved. Ya Im quite cos I dont want to draw any more attention to myself then I need to.

My parents never had time to go to parent-teacher interviews when I was in high school. They didn't own a car for one thing, and had seven children in twelve years for another.
I am the eldest. The primary school was only a block and a half from our old house (which dad and mum specially chose for its proximity to the school and shops). At the time, they had high school classes for girls but closed them down before I reached age 13.
Most of the time, I was "good" but occasionally I got stroppy if I felt that somebody was doing the wrong thing by me or a good friend.
