Full Version: Black Manta (Aquaman Villain) is Autistic

Yup, it's true. Black Manta is Autistic. He was a relatively harmless inmate at Arkham for many years before becoming obsessed with taking Aquaman's place as ruler of the sea (he was also responsible for murdering Aquaman's son). Thus this reoccurring nemesis is one of the first openly Autie/Aspie characters in comic lore. He's also the villain that Aquaman keeps killing, but just doesn't seem to stay dead long. Some people have speculated that Black Manta has a metagene like Vandal Savage, in that he can't die-- but that's just speculation.
Hmm, I think villains should stay dead when they are killed.

Why a villan? Why can't a hero be openly Autistic for once?
I do not know, perhaps the comic industry is having an anti-ASD sentiment...
