i also 'lope' upstairs.(though id rather not do it in public)it allows you to move really fast.
i walk hunched over and pidgeon toed, although my dad is also pidgeon toed.
i also sit on my foot(as in,one knee up by chin, sometimes with chin on knee, one foot tucked underneath, butt on boot)
My legs are weak and awkward feeling when I walk. I kind of waddle when I walk, feet facing outwards. And though i have really good posture, walking upright seems forced. I'd much rather crawl on my hands and knees.
Any of you like this?
My friend Callum is like that. He's an aspie.
I crawled and wriggled my way around on the ground a lot until I was about 13. I just walk now. It's faster, it takes less energy, it doesn't destroy my clothes, and it doesn't get me dirty.
I run into things a lot though, and I've been told I walk like a guy.
i am the exact opposite, my legs are kind of stiff, and my feet face inwards.

They dont feel awkwars but my feet also tend to be very much pointed outside when I go , I dont like going anyway, I prefer gping by bike (even the shortest distanmces, bit also long distances)Inside the house I mostly tip toe while walking.
I never wear shorts due to sensory issues.
So it is not just me!!!!
when i walk its like i have a book on my head, or a waiter with a tray on my hand.
i also never wear shorts, ever. they were required in gym class you can Bet i was miserable. finally i just got sick of dealing and wore long sweatpants :] and just accepted the bad grade.
Unless I'm carrying something, I find it far easier to go up the stairs on all fours (hands and feet). The weight distribution seems less effort on the knees that way. Can't go down the stairs head first though. That's rather scary.
Man I love this place. You've given me yet another "ohhh wow, other people do that too" moment. It's just not a question I'd see in NT forums nor would I count on them to admit it if they did crawl up stairs.
Sometimes when I cross a street I walk like Groucho Marx.
that being...how?
PM?oh,yes,sorry.i dont check them often
I walk quite clumsily (a bit like an overgrown toddler) but it gets the job done. If I walk for a long time my hip joints start to hurt because they pop out of socket a little every time I take a step.
I also run like a cross between an uncoordinated toddler and a penguin (knees together, arms and legs flailing everywhere), so I try to avoid running as much as possible!
I dont really know what to do with my hands when I walk either. When Im home (which is most of the time) I have this odd habit of touching things with my hands as I walk by. Like i'll just drag my hand against the wall & i'll often slide my hand up the sofa on the way to the kitchen & just generally feel things. Also when Im home I sway alot, I'll move my arms to the left & right & sometimes my chest so the top half of my body is moving left & right. When I walk I i sway my arms to the left & right a little but not to much. When Im out I just move them forward & back a little bit cos it seems thats how most people walk so I just copy the masses lol

Not at all. See an orthopedist.
