My legs are weak and awkward feeling when I walk. I kind of waddle when I walk, feet facing outwards. And though i have really good posture, walking upright seems forced. I'd much rather crawl on my hands and knees.
Any of you like this?
A lot of the time when I'm at home over carpet I'll crawl places instead of walk, but other than that, it tends to hurt my knees (like Bob said).
I prefer to run. Although I'm really unfit...
Maybe it's just from my depression.
I either skip or walk on my toes. Normal walking just doesn't allow me to use enough energy. People probably think I'm a swaggerer.
Aspie44.8, I do pretty much the same thing... I usually walk on my toes (most of the time unconsciously) and I'll run from the kitchen to my bedroom and such and usually find that skip alot when I'm running.
I've been like that all my life except I used to skip a lot more then I do now lol
When I'm running over rough surfaces (like a really rocky slope) or up stairs, I do prefer to lean far over and use my hands in a kind of "loping" (I certainly wouldn't call it crawling!).
However, I'm usually fine with walking, though I do get back pains.
Yeh I do that, it's kinda weird seeing a grown man crawl up a flight of stars like a cat. But it's really fast, so who cares.

I really couldn't imagine crawling on my hands and knees. I feel a lot more comfortable on my feet.
I dont really like walking in general because my feet r weird. They dont sit flat on the ground I walk slightly on the sides so my feet become quite painful rather quickly. My right foot is much worse then the left, it gets swore after standing for about 5 mins & my left gets sore after about 10. Its not as bad when im actually walking but if I have to stand & cant really move around its dreadful. I have seen a "foot doctor" about it a few years ago & she suggested shoes with better support which did nothing, I would prob have to get 1 of those molds to put into my shoes to make me stand right but I rarely wear shoes, I dont go out much so I dont need to be wearing them & in summer I wear plastic thongs (Im an aussie I dont wear underwear on my feet lol) every where cos there just easier to deal with... again another long post by me.
I'm often told that I walk like a male.
Not entirely sure what this means, but okay... O.o
When I'm at home I do tend to use my hands when I run up the stairs (I suppose you could call that crawling).
And when I'm out and about, when I think of things that are exciting (usually) I break into a run, but I stop quickly because I feel like I'll get embarassed - not sure why. I wish I wasn't like that, I think I used to like running, and (I know this is off topic) when I'm listening to music (can occur at other times), I start to break into a dance, but at home someone bursts in (my brother) telling me that he heard me. Now I'm always tense in my room because I think someones going to come in if I get up to do something.
alot of friends tell me I walk weird. theyll even try to mimick it. people say I walk like the pink panther.
Sometimes when I cross a street I walk like Groucho Marx.

that being...how?
With knees bent as half the way sitting down. It allows me to take longer steps at a faster rate without actually running. It's possible that the style could be called "duck walk" also. They're all gone now the Marx Brothers. Btw; have you read the pm I sent you?
Yes, but more hunched over forward. It's like I would fall forward if I didn't move forward.

Yes.
Have you seen a physiotherapist? It may be that the girdle muscles relating to your pelvis need specific attention.
