No I think that just about covers it.
I can think of another possibility but it's dirty. (and has something to do with roosters.)
It's not a mystery anymore. But I don't remember the answer. It has something to do with DNA.

Are you talking strictly about CHICKEN eggs here?
Yes, I've seen the mystery of the chicken unveiled on tv... but it's to weird for me to think about.
Chickens came from outer space long before the egg. How they were born before that can be left to your imagination.
I'm sure there used to be a topic about that question long ago. I don't know whether is still exists.
I believe that it does have an end.
I think I may get it. The 'came' to wish you are refering is an essential part of the egg making process, right?
Whats my prize?
Wish it meant to be which. I don't know how I made the mistake. The words are hardly similar.
The chicken came before it made the egg.
(catch the double meaning, win a prize.)
I'm guessing your double meaning is rather similar to my earlier post regarding roosters?
Do we have here an example of similarities in rudeness across time and space?
Someone else knows chickens came from outer space!
Do the Space Chickens talk to you too, Bob?
<hugs>

Absolutely, egg first. Eggs have been around long before reptiles and therefore even longer before birds.
Although, perhaps the first chicken could have been born of the fabric of Chaos, in which case there was no egg from which the chicken had hatched...
Perhaps the creator of the universe is a chicken -- in which case, that all depends on whether eggs exist in a world without poultry...
your answer made me laugh - and it came across as being as completely rational.

ATM - I asked them....
G-d created the animal and it's ability to procreate.
Chicken came first.
The scholar was nice.
