...after spending so much of my life studying special ed and various neurobiological variances, how could I not?
As a child, I truly had no clue just how odd I seemed to others.  As a teenager and even into college I started figuring out that yes, I was really different from almost everyone I'd known, and in lots of ways that fell outside the so-called norm. Denial died with the breakdown that forced me out of school for a while, pushed way past my limits in a very social and rule-oriented field of study.
I had to really look at myself and acknowledge it all: the sensory problems, inability to read others with any sort of reliability, hatred of socializing, lousy conversational skills, fixating on things nobody else even cared about, certain complusive qualities, etc.
I knew about AS but didn't get over the denial of its matching my characteristics, until fate chanced to have me know two fantastic little AS kids for a while,  and I saw over and over how much like them I was.
Because of them, I started looking for any information that presented AS in some sort of positive light, and kept looking long after we parted company. That search led me here and to the test links.

-Aspie-Quiz: 139
-Geek Syndrome: 30
-Baron-Cohen= SQ 25, EQ 11, Mind/Eyes 24, AS 35

Really, only confirming what I already knew...
I lurked around here for a long time before joining, glad to have found a whole bunch of fellow oddballs (I mean that as a compliment, not an insult.) I promise I'll try not to bore you too much. Big Grin

Welcome to the site, Meega!

I always knew I was different as well, considered a geek by most, but I didn't even learn about Asperger's until my junior year in high school (I'm a freshman in college now). Asperger's pretty much perfectly describes me, though I've never gotten an official diagnosis.

I think my test results go something like this (I'm doing this from memory):

Geek Test: 35

Baron-Cohen (hahaha, Borat)...
Systemetrics Quotient: 51
Empathy Quotient: 18
Autism Quotient: 36
Mind in the Eyes: 21
