First thread for me, and i hope it goes here..

let's just say that i have a very serious interest in alternate forms of education, and practices. Like alternate medicine, reiki healing. For me this is SO much easier to learn and understand then stuff taught in school is.

Does anyone have experience with this? That some off the wall stuff are easier to "get" then schoolstuff?

Just for clarification; I have an offical asperger dx

Yes, my special interests (my new ones, or old ones) are easier to learn. Although when you said "alternate education", I thought of my dream: "online learning" or "distance learning".

I attended school, but most of the things I know now, I've learned from books.

i attended school for a year and a half at high school/secondary school but got excluded at the age of 13 because i was trying tto fit in and i did in by acting badly to impress others.. i wasin and out of school till i was 14 hen i was in a mental health hospital for a year now i am in a special school called the link for people whpo are out of school for medical reasons and the classes are of like 3 or 4 its really great and has seemed to work well! i have a diagnosis of apergers and autistic traits(that arnt part of aspergers)
