I support Cure Autism Now because I am autistic.
I'm on the spectrum and I don't support CAN, DAN or anything of that ilk. I may as well say I support the Westboro Baptist Church because I'm gay, or that I like Margaret Thatcher because I'm Scottish.
And supporting CAN means that people will work for me to solve this mystery.
Yeah, to be just like everyone else *sigh* 
that was always what I wanted to be when I was a little girl, I used to look at all the Barbie dolls and wish I could be just like them after all, I must suck because I'm autistic, right?
I am high functioning.
Funny that, I thought that 'high' and 'low' functioning was somewhat of a grey area on the spectrum - given that some people see AS as not being 'autistic' in the traditional sense, whereas some people class AS as a HFA. So what gives there? Are we arguing Aspergers/savant autism/classic autism - what? Because all that sentence smacks of to me is propaganda and bull that is easily digested by the uninformed in mass society, but means nothing to those 'in the loop' so to speak.
And really believe that there is a cure out there--waiting to be unlocked.
Well I used to believe in the year 2008 we'd all be riding around in spaceships and it'd be like Total Recall meets Futurama. Great... a cure... so we can all walk around like lobotomised morons who are more worried about our socks matching and if our hair 'looks ok' (wtf is that expression anyway? It doesn't look like its got teeth and is planning to kill anyone, so technically yeah it is ok) than about anything that might actually pose some use to society.
