Best thing to do on youtube is to make a reply video - anyone feel like writing a song making fun of NT's?
*muahahahaha*

Those NT's sure think they're funny
But I don't get it, what's the joke?
So we've got logic and they've cunning
I'll take honesty over mirrors and smoke
They like to party and they like flirting
But I don't get what they see in that
Just like us, I bet they're hurting
When someone doesn't love them back
When they talk and talk and it's never ending
I zone out and think of something cool
If they took the time they'd see I'm in here
And they could learn a thing or too
About relating without the pretense
And finding out how to be real
And who we are really can make sense
If you understand a bit how we feel
But I don't get it, what's the joke?

I made a video, but youtube won't let me upload tonight. Guess it'll have to wait until later...

Well I did it - I'm sort of preparing myself to be made fun of...

Ha! That was quick - I changed my mind and deleted it.

Displaying my paranoia and indecisiveness when it comes to stuff like this do to bad experiences when I jumped into something in the past....
Here it is again. This time I haven't responded to their video though... I just put it up for your review and that of a few of my other friends because I don't trust my own judgement as to if making this a video response link to their video is a good idea or not.

Thanks Lienda.
I'm getting my courage up to post it. I just don't know if I want to open myself up as a target at this point.
Trent, It's a heart felt song and very creative, but it sort of sounds like you are taking out your frustrations on many of the ills of the world on these poor NT students.
I tried to ask myself the question, 'what is my purpose' or 'what do I want' when I thought about the lyrics - do I want to just put them in their place, or do I want to communicate something to them...
It's your option, of course - but the last thing I want is a war of who can be the most cruel. Especially since in my experience, since they are more sensitive to know what hurts other people, NT's will win hands down.

tom, yeah, that's who NT's are, and me too. In fact, I sang the song I wrote for my husband who is NT and he thought it helped him see things from our POV.
I really want a truce and for us to work together to understand each other... That's why my song is, as a friend described it, rather 'hokey'. *L*

Once I read the message from the student at harvard, a message that said they took AS seriously and the song was to just lighten the mood, I internally took back any offensive things that I've wrote about them in this song. Could Gareth help me edit the song out, so no more people can read my offensive lyrics?
I'm deeply sorry for my offending people. Honestly, I knew that I was blowing things WAY out of proportion, but it's just that there are many people who just (seemingly go out of their way to) stereotype us as one kind of hideous mistake or another. As Tom does, I, too, have NT parents, and friends who I care deeply about. So I ask if Gareth can help me remove the song from AFF. I'll be grateful.
Thank you for reading.
Take care
Trent

For fear that I might catch it, though less sane people say "OH PLEASE"!

Sounds funny, but what does it say in English?

I seem to be having trouble playing youtube videos, but anyway...
From what I saw, the first just seemed like a poorly edited, blurry and unclear video of a not-very-good song. Couldn't understand the lyrics, either because it was either poorly recorded or poorly sung, or both.
Sorry, 7oclock, I can't play your video because there is some kind of bug on youtube, or my computer.

Tonight's edition of Meridian Tonight (Southampton) had a report about You Tube having a clip of a pupil with autism being attacked at school with the National Autistic Society being involved. The clip was removed from You Tube and the pupils exluded from the school, but it just shows you how low people get these days.

How was the National Autistic Society involved?!

When such a case like a person with autism becomes a victim of such an attack and it makes the news, the National Autistic Society gets involved in that way by being interviewed in relatoon to the situation. Benet Middleton, a spokesman for the National Autistic Society gave an interview to the news programme on the case.
