Is the reasons why some have Asperger syndrome known?

Does AS have to do with genetics?
90% of autism is genetic, so it is by far the most prominent factor in determining a cause.

For some reason, my Genetics teacher seems to think that Autism has no heritable component...   I intend to go surfing, find a boatload of evidence to the contrary, shove it all in her face and see what happens...  I live for that look.  (yeah, I know, I'm a sadistic little SOB)

What have teachers ever known about autism?

yes, I know, but she is a GENETICS teacher, she really should be up to date on these things...  I mean come on, not knowing that Autism has a heritable component?

too true.  For a science and tehc magnet, my school's teaching standards are something of a disappointment.

It's much more about presenting as a person who will be able to do the job at some stage in the future so that means previous experience isn't as important as it used to be.
