First he's "violent" and the family calls the police. By the time they get there, he's calmed down. And then they insist he goes to a "crisis treatment center"--and naturally he tries to get away. I would, too; those places are boring at best and torture at worst, and they'll admit you in a heartbeat. But instead of letting the kid run to his room and STAY calm, they force more interaction on him and smother him to death.
These police officers were totally clueless about autism. Totally clueless, and totally ruthless.
