Hey all, this is my first post. My name's Owen and for as long as I can remember, one of my biggest interests has been fish (mostly cichlids) and reptiles, especially snakes. I've got some of each and honestly, as friendly as our dog is and as much as I love him, I prefer my fish and snakes.

Hi Owen/thestorm, welcome to AFF!

What kind of snake is that?
That's a coastal carpet python, gender unknown so it's still nameless. Maybe Snakie. It's about three months old.
Awww, still just a baby!

How big will it grow?
Probably eight or nine feet, but possibly around fourteen if I'm lucky

Ooh! Carpet snake. Cool. (They're supposed to be relatively safe, aren't they?)
Yeah. They're a little nippy when they're young but if you handle them frequently and gently, they get pretty calm.
What kind of plants are growing by that snake? I have a few of those.
It's a jade plant...a favorite since I was a little kid.
