Ah, that explains it then. I had hoped people would realise by the title that I had just posted a lot of pics as replies. I am glad you like them, it is one of my passions, but I am not over confident in my ability due to an ex who used to criticise only rather than encourage.
I didn't like number 2,3,4 BUT absolutely LOVED the rest. I mean loved. You have a very good eye and a heck of a lot of talent. Have you studied or is this all natural talent? I could easily imagine any of these gracing a publication. Oh about those three above the fact that I didn't like them isn't saying they were no good, just not to my taste.
I wish I had a talent like that. I am just great at being tactless, offensive, and brutal in my honesty. LOL
Honesty is always good, I am honest myself, even at the expense of others feelings sometimes. I find it hard to not blurt it out.
As to your question... I am supposed to have studied it when I did my A-Level, but I never read any of the material, couldn't get engaged in the technical jargon and just used my instincts and a little basic knowledge. I just seem to have an eye for beauty. It just is there and I have to shoot it. I am glad you love the rest, I am not too keen on a few of the shots you mention myself anyway lol.
I have never tried for publication, wouldn't know where to start to be honest. It is what I would like to do though, along with writing. I am an aspie with a creative rather than technical mind lol. But then, the likes of Orwell, Lewis Carroll, Mozart and Beethoven are now considered to have been aspergers.
Thanks, sorry not to have posted before now. Got caught up in other things and I got myself a new camera, a Nikon D200. It is proving quite hard work getting the hang of it, and have only managed to get one shot I accept as reasonable so far. I have a lot more photos I have yet to post, just tiring to keep linking to them.
If 9 of the 29 are top notch, what does that make the rest, lol? Not that I mind, as half of these were taken when I was just starting out, and the other half were taken with a dreadful 3.2 megapixel olympus thing.
