Interesting how people either are very (to the point of possibly being looked upon as too much so) comfortable with touching or have a large aversion to it. (thats me)

I dont like it when most people touch me, but there is one exception to that rule... I think it may be because she has dealt with people who are lfa before.

Does anyone else have one or more people who although you usually hate being touched dont mind when they touch you.

Its still a bit foreign yes, but not to the point of having to squirm away.

Though I don't feel comfortable with relatives touching me and it makes family gatherings hell because I don't have the balls to refuse but really hate being touched... And the whole family just HAS to hug me... I think that it may have affected the quality of my relationships with some relatives.

I deliberately avoid hugs and kisses-on-cheek-type-things at family/old friend occasions. As a result, most people think I'm rude and don't like them.

Only an inner circle of, errr, one person is allowed to touch.

I totally agree, i'd rather be punched in the arm than have someone shake my hand. I hate people hugging me, even my family. Sometimes when i see people touch each other in a certain way it bugs me, because it make me think of how it feels. Hell on earth is a pedicure. Conversely, I really like physical contact with my boyfriend- everything from light to intense sensations feel nice, but i am really ticklish. he's the only person i actually like touching- friends and family i tolerate. I hate being touched by anyone when i'm in a bad mood, and when people bump into me i bump back! as a young woman, i've garnered funny reactions from people that i shoved in return.
