I've heard some Autistic master-race theories. Most are B.S. but some are rather thought provoking. The general theory seems to be that humanity is evolving, for the first time, to improve intellect at the cost of certain physical and social difficulties. As you may (or may not) know, people who subscribe to the evolution theory believe that ALL of human society, from culture to laws to taboos to religeon is a stress mechanism created by early humans to deal with the grief of death. By stripping away social skills, the DNA mastertape has made room for more self-focused intellectual processes.

I am NOT anything of an authority on the subgect, but I do hope that some posters might have something to contribute other than my garbled interpretation.

Just the opposite is likely to be true. The human race was CREATED perfect, but entropy has turned most humans into creatures called NTs.

I agree. Not totally. The human is quite a young species so the evolution may have just begun. And since our numbers seem to be on the rise, well... there you have it.

Back to ranger2736. NT = New Testament? What about the Old Testament = OT? Forgive me, but I think these abbreviations are quite funny. I've only just deciphered btw...

From a religious point of view. My religion believes that certain souls were so good or faithful before this earth that they are sent as teachers. Some have Downs Williams or other mental 'deformities', simple minds that the devil can't tempt because they are his greats threats.

I believe the Autistics ans Aspies have a similar funtion that falls into what is discussed. We need to speak logic to an illogical world...
Doh! and as there is no edit button. I also believe that singlmindedness in solving some of the problems we have today is a great advantage. Though my hubby won't believe me and it drives him nuts. Wink
Please, please, guys. Let's not start a fight over religion. People have killed each other over this subject.

From my observation, Jean-Pierre was comparing an evolutional theory to a bible story because she saw similarities. Rossco, there is no need to get worked up about it. She wasn't offending your views in any way.

And Jean, even though your views make sense, there's no need to argue back and tell him to adopt your views.

This is the reason why Gareth removed the Philosophy forum. Don't take it out into the rest of the site.
Here are more ideas.

Way back in the Stone Age, hunters had to hunt down mammoths in large groups. Facing a mammoth alone was very dangerous, so many men would travel nomadically in packs, just like dogs.

Once people had discovered the technique of farming, packs were allowed to drop anchor in a land with good soil, and develop into tribes. Some people would go out in groups to hunt, and others would collect seeds and farm crops. In order for these two jobs to work, the hunters had to know how to communicate with each other effectively in order to battle mammoths, so they had to remain the same to each other.

These small tribes discovered other tribes, and were offended by the fact that these foreign tribes didn't follow their customs, so of course, they go to war, because they think their way is right and all others wrong.

Over the ages, groups people continued to meet each other. Some of them coexisted like potassium and water, others managed to merge their customs together with each other.

As humanity wisened, tolerance has developed for different people. Martin Luther King freed the black people from segregation.

Now, socializing may have brought people luck in the past, but now it's bringing failure. We need peopel who can think for themselves and break from the sameness. It's time to evolve, and fight our past selves.
Wow. Didn't really expect many respones but ok. It seems to me that  maybe the Autistic are a NEW kinbd of evolution. All previos evolutionary advances have been to survive. Maybe humans, having conquered or begun to conquer terrestrial concerns, have began evolving in a purely intellectual way. All of human society, from religeon to culture to taboo to art, has all been a stress mechanism. Leading psycologists agree, so I'm not talking out my butt. When human conciussness devoloped to the point where we recogodnized the inevitability of death and began to morn the dead, our brains automaticly created society as a stress mechanism to deal with this. Consequently, to deal with this, we as a species developed social skills. Perhaps (PERHAPS!) autism is stripping away social skills to make room for intellectual advances. No more is evolotion about the race as a whole; it is now a personal, internalized developement. I've posted a link some people may find useful, but doesn't mention autism itself. It is Dennis Leary's 8 circuit model of the human brain.

It's like the movie Highlander, there can only be one! It has begun MORTAL COMBAT!!! FIGHT!!!
i don't know what everybody means by "highly evolved".
evolution is all about fitting in your environment. I wouldn't say that aspies are superior to NT's given that NT's are fairly more common and to the fact that we don't know if Aspergers is a new mutation.

If a character is to have an effect on the evolution of a species, it must have a positive impact on the number of descents. I don't see a lot of aspies having big families.

Maybe everybody should see the first 5 minutes of the movie Idiocracy (I don't recommend watching more than that), there you will find a terrible disthopia about the future of humanity.

the truth is that nobody can tell where evolution will lead us. So the term master race should not be used.
I agree with that. It's too dangerous to suggest that there is or will be any master race. We are all just human beings and none are more highly evolved than others (although when you see how some of the yobbos and chavs act, it certainly makes you wonder)
Maybe a "change" race.
Not entirely true about autism having the same occurance in all races. Autism occurs less in the Amish. Autism also occurs less in African-Americans. And it could be Master Race or A Race to Become a Master, the two aren't the same. And I think the latter meaning was the one was the one meant. Birds of a feather flock together, but I really don't think that's what was meant.
The problem with a 'master race' is this. The greeks said hubris was the greatest of all flaws. Now men and women can never be 'gods' unless they drop their foolish pride.
And I could go even deeper into that by saying that oh yeah, jesus saraficed himself. The prophets were very intelligent. If you master some thing you have it down, and if some thing it's no longer a challenge. then theres no point. If theres no point, then you may as well pack your bags, because you're insane my friend. That's why theres a thin line, it goes for groups of people too. If you delve too deep you get burned...so on and so on...
Besides, while servants envy their masters. The masters are still slaves to those who are serving. It's just all in your mind. Find love and then you're free.
