ok ok ok I KNOW autism isnt soely caused by vaccinations, so yeah
But I was thinking, after reading my science book about lead/mercury poisining, and I was thinking that we ARE born with autism but the mercury in the vaccinatuions pronounced the symptoms more.
Like my science book said some of the symptoms of mercury poising are staggard walk and tunnel vision. And maybe if we already have the autism gene then we are more likely to get more of these poisining symptoms which look like a more severe autism.
Like the "staggard walk" is like our "odd gait" and I know that some people with autism have tunnel vision
so yeah..
That makes sense, but the mercury idea still seems silly.
There isn't actually any proof that mercury or vaccines cause autism. Maybe a bad reaction to a vaccine lowers the baby or child's general coping abilities and the autistic symptoms become more pronounced.
I don't believe that mercury and autism have anything to do with each other.
It's really hard for me to say a 100% no to this theory, because people do say that their children suddenly regress in social behaviors once the vaccine is injected. Yet the whole idea of autism being caused by mercury seems very illogical. I'm a very strong believer in the genetic cause, for my dad has AS, my mom has AS traits, and my siblings all have the AS traits I don't have.
Sadly, my English teacher was talking about a student, who wrote an report about mercury vaccines, because her sister has AS. I don't know the student, because she is not in my class, but if she was, I'd be tempted to preach her. What she is doing is following all this curebie propaganda she hears on the news and radio. She and her parents probably have a gene for autism, and refuse to admit it. They want to blame it on the mercury vaccine. I bet she even wants her sister to be chelated, so she wouldn't have AS any more. If that girl was my sister, I would hate her for the rest of my life. Even my own sister gets bitchy when I show off my aspieness.

As I understand, the most likely cause for this is that the children are often vaccinated around the same time that autistic traits begin to develop.
Do vaccines still contain lead/mercury? I mean, our mothers don't pass on their stores of toxins to us do they? Or is this theory also including the trace amounts that we get from fish, and other foods. If that's the case, I'm actually surprised more people don't have this.
