Mine are:
"30/30-150" by Stone Sour
"Faint" by Linkin Park
"Stricken" by Disturbed

"A Horse With No Name" by America

"King of Carrot Flowers, Pt. 1" by Neutral Milk Hotel. My life isn't really like the lyrics, but I just like the song and it's pretty much the theme song to my life.
hmm I've got another one: Come On Up to the House by Tom Waits

"The world is not my home I'm just a-passin through / come on up to the house"
Krispy, Tom Waits is definitely one of my favorites. Have you seen him?
Oh you should. I was lucky enough to see him in August and it totally turned me into a fan.
Evanescence is awesome. I love most all of their stuff...

I don't know most of the other songs listed here, but some I do - I'll have to look them up. Smile links and lyrics would be great for those willing to supply...

For me, it's Quasimodo by Lifehouse

This link takes you to a Youtube version - I don't know what the video's about but if you wanted to listen the songs there at least

You could be right and i'll be real
honesty won't be a pain you'll have to feel
'cause i don't need your approval to find my worth
i've been trapped inside of my own mind
afraid to open my eyes to what i'd find
i don't want to live like this anymore

there goes my pain
there goes my chains
did you see them fall
there goes this feeling that has no meaning
there goes the world off of my shoulders
there goes the world off of my back
there it goes

does it scare you that i can be something different than you
would it make you feel more comfortable if i wasn't
you can't control me
you can't take away from me who i am

there goes my pain
there goes my chains
did you see them fall
there goes this feeling that has no meaning
there goes the world off of my shoulders
there goes the world off of my back

you can't change me
you can't break me

there goes the world off of my shoulders
there goes the world off of my back

have you ever felt that your only comfort was your cage
your not alone i have felt the same as you
have you felt like your secrets give you away
you're not alone i have been there too
everyone is looking and everyone is laughing
but i think everyone feels the same
everybody wants to feel okay
everybody wants to
everybody wants to feel

there goes my pain
there goes my chains
did you see them fall
there goes this feeling that has no meaning
there goes the world off of my shoulders
there goes the world off of my back

'cause you can't change me you can't break me
there goes the world off of my shoulders
there goes the world off of my back 'cause i don't it

Also, a few weeks ago I was praying and started listening to this song and it made me burst into tears in a good, empowering way.

"Wounded" by Third Eye Blind.
Between the Bars
by Elliott Smith

Drink up baby, stay up all night.
With the things you could do...you won't, but you might.
The potential you'll be, that you'll never see.
The promises you'll only make.

Drink up with me now, and forget all about,
The pressure of days, do what I say.
And I'll make you okay, and drive them away...
The images stuck in your head.

People you've been before,
That you don't want around anymore.
That push, and shove, and won't bend to your will...
I'll keep them still.

Drink up baby, look at the stars.
I'll kiss you again, between the bars.
Where I'm seeing you there, with your hands in the air...
Waiting to finally be caught.

Drink up one more time, and I'll make you mine.
Keep you apart, deep in my heart.
Separate from the rest, where I like you the best...
And keep the things you forgot.

People you've been before,
That you don't want around anymore.
That push, and shove, and won't bend to your will...
I'll keep them still.

Love, love, love that album. In addition to them and Elliott Smith (from above) I also love Pinback, My Morning Jacket, Iron & Wine and other such bands. And Jim Croce...seriously, he was such a great storyteller. Too bad he died before I was even born Sad

then you stand
My favourite song of all time doesn't really represent my life but everyone elses life. It's by voice of the beehive called 'Look at me' (lyrics: everyones saying look at me, look at me
everyones certain they've got something no one else can see)

For a long time(10-15 years) it was the whole of the Garbage album (the pink one) but especially 'Queer', 'I'm only happy when it rains' and 'vow' (with the lyrics, you thought I was a little mouse but..).

Then evanescence 'bring me to life' and 'going under' - literally saved me from a bad relationship, moving on to 'hello' (Fruitcake: the don't fix me im not broken lyrics) and 'imaginary'.

Then The Rasmus 'not like the other girls' and 'in the shadows'

There's also a song called 'misfit' that I really identify with. It has a great video to it about being shunned for being different and then becoming famous because of the differences.
At the moment :

"So here am I quite by chance near the phone
I could call and make you crawl into bed
Questions always questions
Ill just speak in slow motion"

Gary Numan/Paul gardiner - Stormtrooper In Drag

Just something about that song at the moment.
Stone Roses - Made of Stone
The Libertines - What a Waster
Radiohead - Paranoid Android
