Some celebrities might not be autistic but they could still do a great deal to support our cause. The more respect and power a celebrity has, the more people would respect their opinion about something. Actually that is stupid but it must be the way NT's think.
I remember one of my friends wearing a Amnesty International t-shirt. I asked her why she was wearing it. She said because Bono of U2 worn one and he supported their views. She did not understand anything about Anmesty International although she was walking around wearing their t-shirt.
So we need to find some celebrity who is very popular and cool. I think Johhnny Depp is perfect. He even portrayed a few autistic characters. Even if someone does have autism, they might not want to announce and they do not have to.

here's a sample letter we can use for writing to celebrites, paticually those that support autism speaks already and their mission to make sure autism is never postive.

Dear (name of celebrity),
I noticed that recently you have decided to support Autism Speaks with the wearing of their puzzle pin logo.
Autistics are not all the helpless and broken tragic children as Autism Speaks likes to represent us as. They portray us as bad and unwanted to society, and misrepresent autistics. They also promote the idea that autism should be hated and a disease that has purged America’s children, which is not true. Autism is just a difference in neurological wiring, and not necessarily a burden to society. We grow up and live happy and productive lives, and are still autistic, not despite of being autistic. Autism Speaks has also warped the images of autistic families as all desire their children to become cured, which isn’t the norm for families of autistic children, who have pride and joy in their autistic children, and do not engage in trying to change them into non autistic.
Autism Speaks raises all their money towards research to cure autism, even though they say that support for autistics is under funded. This may lead to the idea that Autism Speaks does not support autistics living now, but instead just looking towards tomorrow to where autism, and by extension, autistics do not exist. Furthermore, autistics are not asking for a cure, but instead acceptance. A cure, according to the autistic community, would mean destroying the autistic person and replacing them with a non autistic one, because autism is a part of autistic people that cannot be removed without destroying who they are.
Autism Speaks commissioned a video called “Autism Every Day” that has been very controversial among autistics and parents of autistics, with its false portrayal of autistics as horrible monsters, a burden for everyone around them, and in forever tantrum. A big problem was that the video subtly condoned murder of autistics, and praise of parents who kill autistics, with a comment by one of the mothers in the video that she didn’t drive off with her autistic daughter because she had a non autistic one at home. This is very disturbing seeing that autistics want to be seen as equal human beings that are neurologically different instead of a defective person, or less than a person.
(name of celerbity), I suspect you started your Autism Speaks sponsorship because you felt that you wanted to be a part of a worthy cause. I assure you, Autism Speaks is a disservice to autistics and many families of autistic persons, but now you are enlightened to the other side. Thank you for your time.

The letter idea is good but it needs some editing.

I put what needs editing or clarification in round brackets. I could use this letter but I would rewrite some sections. Someone helped edit my letter and it was very helpful. Could we have more help here?
Is the puzzle pin just for Autism Speaks or are other autism groups using it too?

Be sure to write to Scarlett Johanssen. I met her once and she told me that I should "just do what I have to get a job" and that I was "so annoying, just like that character Eunice in the film Ghost Girl? - I "should wait for my bus" or something. Then I pointed out to her that she had approached and talked to me first. I did not know who she was. (ah, face blindness and the fact that she was not very famous yet). She obviously is ignorant about the autistic spectrum.

Sorry the film she was referring to was Ghost World. She was in it. The character she was calling me was Enid. I did not know what she was talking about until I saw the film. Some people had suggested that the Enid character could have had Asperger's. I found Scarlett Johanssen to be rude to me. I just wish she had more patience and understanding that is all. When I saw the film I was very upset because I thought the bus part at the end was the character Enid killing herself. I still do not understand the film.

Writing to any celebrity. How
Send the letter to their management address. There are websites that list them for actors. Billboard publication is the best source of addresses for music industry addresses.
suggestions: keep the letter personal, short and to the point. Give them some compliment and try to make it sound like being aware of autism and supporting autism in the correct way (our way) is something that will be good for their image. (because they usually care more about their image than people who are suffering or discriminated against)
Type the letter and the envelope. Try to use a professional looking return address. If your letter looks like correspondence from a law office, it will more likely be read that something that looks like a 8 yr old crayon addressed love letter.

I was watching a documentary on Tuberculosis. It is actually a great threat to the world and there are millions of people who are infected and will die from it. There are even strains of the bacteria that is very difficult to treat. More research is needed. It is more important for people to support Tuberculosis research than autism. Autism does not kill people. Tuberculosis does.
The documentary noted that drug companies do support research for drugs or vaccines against tuberculosis because some disease like obesity would be more profitable to development treatments for. No doubt there are going to be drugs to "cure or treat" autism available in the near future.
