I think you should put it in the "General" forum.
Maybe the guy had been out of work for ages. I think they were nice prizes but I certainly wouldn't have got so excited - would have just looked stunned I think and then thanked the host a few times. He seems like a really nice game show host and not like a used car salesman (which a lot of game show hosts are like).

I've never been that excited about anything in my life, but then I probably wouldn't be selected to play in the first place (you know they ain't selectin' them folks at random). Meiloyn is right, this is a typical PiR reaction.
