I listen to them sometimes. I was going to pick Papa Roach but has anyone noticed how they turned into Blink 182 with distorted guitars after Getting Away with Murder.

WTF was all that about.
Of that list, NIN is the best of them.

Metallica are the stand out band from that list though I do like some NIN stuff as well. Though looking at the list I'm glad I had grunge when I was younger. Most of those bands don't come close to the likes of Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
At the same time I was more into the British music scene with the likes of Primal Scream, Portishead, Happy Mondays, Smiths, Stone Roses, Joy Division etc. and also the sort of rave/techno stuff that was going on in Scotland in the early/mid nineties. Still liked the grunge and rock stuff coming from America, though the british rock scene at this point seemed to be practically non existent.

Never really got into alice in chains but the sound garden certainly had a few quality tracks. Thought Mudhoney were class as well.

How good is Evanescence - Call Me When Your Sober?

I dont hate heavy rock I hate this , Nu metal stuff , and *"I cant suing that why I do some unlistenable and recognisable grunts like an neanderthal"
Rock bands I like are Led zeppeline, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits , Queen , Guns and Roses, Black Sabbath, and others to see on the classic side.

I think they are a pretty good band. I like their remake of the 80's Genesis song "Land of Confusion" as well as the remake's music video.

Evanescence is cool, but if you're looking for another good Goth Rock group with a female lead singer, I'd suggest Within Temptation.
