I voted no. While I think that the idea of an aspie community is a good one, I don't think that it has to involve moving and isolating ourselves to work. Perhaps thats just a personal preference, but I sort of like the challenge of living in an NT world and would rather find a way to be accepted here than to give up and cut myself off. And I never was much of a fan of separatist movements anyway. ^_^
A homeland for Aspies would be a good idea.
hm.it might be a good idea to have one availible,to visit,or as a place to retreat to.
I've thought about the idea of trying to get a hold of a few old cargo ships, or aircraft carriers, or something to that extent, bring them out into international waters, anchor them, weld them together, and declare it our own country.
You people keep saying that I don't understand you but yet NO1 has bothered to help me understand!!!!!!!! Do you or don't you want me to understand?!?! If you do than please contact me!!!!!
um above could be call a demand.
How about choosing somewhere near a place that already has a reputation for attracting people like Aspies and other HFA conditions, like Glastonbury in England? That way we wouldnt have to start from scratch.
I completely agree with the idea of having a 'homeland for Aspies', but then again, it's a lovely dream and I'm kind of worried as to how one could take a step towards it and hope to keep it alive and thriving.
Cheeezy - as you requested, I'll inform you of my age and gender. I am a thirteen-year-old girl.
Your claim, 'Hello? I'm 14, you can't expect me to keep emotions out of my posts', completely puzzles me. Seeing that I am thirteen, soon-to-be fourteen, I feel obliged to express my bewilderment. Although I haven't posted much, I normally attempt to keep emotion out of my posts. I find that one cannot think clearly when clouded by emotions. As far as I understand, a calm and controlled conversation is normally the best because of its intelligence and acceptance of the other.
If you'd like I could pm you or something.
