presumably the feminine form of "autist" is "autiste?"
"Roll up! Roll up! Ms Stella Maru, the great autiste, disappearing for one night only, ladies and gentlmen..." :?
why not make it a romaniform noun?
Autistus (masculine)
Autista (feminine)
Autistum (neuter, not sure who to apply that one to...)
Autisti Autistaeque gaudant, nam postridie pugnamus!
Autista sounds nice, two aspie women could be "Autista and sister"
What does this mean "Autisti Autistaeque gaudant, nam postridie pugnamus!"
'Let the (male) autists and the (female) autists be merry, for on the next day, we fight!'
As we at AFF have a reputation for being militant and even hostile (dont ask me why) maybe we shouldnt have that as a motto
Can you come up with something similar? Maybe showing how we fight with words? Or our minds?
just something i adapted form some old Roman quote i dont remeber anyway... how about these?
Qiucunque meum capitem tanget, MORTAT! (whoever touches my head, DIES; not really serious)
Hic caput meus est, ille tuus est. (this head is mine, that one is yours; not very serious here either)
seriously:
quod quam omnibus das, nec plum petemus (we demand/seek/ask no more than you give to all)
Hic caput meus est, ille tuus est.
I like that one.
:!: Mich-a :?:
Hmmm..
Heres another one:
Verbo armis et agmina facta, bellum mentum geremus (words being weapons and battle lines having been drawn, we wage a war of minds)
a bit more poetic, if you go in for that stuff... Im not sure i made that last clause correctly, If anyone knows, tell me or sumthin
Sister Autista of the Little Sisters of Pervasive Devolpment :?
Semper Regant Autisti = "Autists Rule Always"
I don't like separate names for men and women doing the same job/having the same condition. Especially since the feminine form is frequently just the masculine form with a few extra letters added on (goddess, heroine, hostess, etc).
Me neither, but it is a fact that there are many languages with gender, (of which Latin is one more so than English...)
Glad to have you back, mate!

I think somebody came up with the name "Aspiette" for female Aspies.
