I dream of a day when we all march upon the US houses of congress holding banners. That is the day when we will have won half the battle, yet it seems decades away.
Well, they can't legally force a cure, Or we can sue they're arses
bet they can, as autism is "bad" and "evil"
a social ill that must be cleansed for the good of the people ;p
And they'll die if they try to force a cure on me, I will very well defend myself.
Well, they can't legally force a cure, Or we can sue they're arses
But we're "broken" and "disabled" and we have "no fucking idea what we're doing", so they won't listen to "retards" like us when we sue.
Or maybe we'd have to get into aggressive negotiations. Basically, Negotiations with an Ak47.
Actually, Legally, They can't touch us. If we are high functioning enough to speak, They will listen to use if we sue. Cos we'll take it all the way to the supreme court. The government could never force a cure on us if they dont want a full scale civil war. I know I'm nuts, But it's true

Please refrain from condoning any violence or illegal activity here. If required, we can all go to the high court, but I doubt that will be required for many years.
What is required is gathering our forces and spreading the word.

They plan to screen all children by the age of two, and "develop... intervention programs." I wonder what exactly that means. After reading some of the "advice" those "cure" sites offer to parents, it sounds like they may just end up making a lot of children suffer unnecessarily (not to mention any potential side effects of drugs).
*Sigh*, They cant screen me, But I don't know how we're supposed to stop all the screening of younger kids who cant fight back.
The Act would provide money for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
We aren't a disease. Also dktekno, Dont go terrorist on us, That will cause them to want to cure us more. We do need to fight back, But not so violently.
What we need to do now is think. THINK PEOPLE!! How can we get AFF's message out into the mainstream, and at the same time not look like we're insane?
To people who understand autism, particularly people who have it, our message does make sense. But to people who have been brainwashed into thinking autism is a horrible disease to be wiped out, we seem like psychos. Unless we make ourselves perfectly clear, people won't get what we're saying.
So think. Brainstorm. We need ideas.
Protest near the house of congress or something?
The problem with such a protest is that it doesn't make our message clear enough and I lot of people will think we are just psychos and not come close enough to recieve a pamphlet (sp?) or whatever. It is tricky.
Post informational posters outside congress? They're must be somthing we can do
hm? O.o No one has any right to play God and force cures on innocent children or people for that matter! If so true, I'm with you all on it.

Good, I hate curebies >.>
So the US is committing 'a billion dollars toward autism research over the next five years'. What a joke: Some will be eaten up in administration. Some will be side-tracked into other projects totally unrelated to autism. And the rest will probably yield results Jon Shestack (co-founder of Cure Autism Now) won't want to hear.
They will achieve nothing!!
They WILL achieve somthing... And that's chaos.
Well, if the government is as inefficient as it has been in the past (it is, after all, a huge group of ultra-NTs), then we have nothing to worry about.
When reading the above, note that I am attempting to be optimistic.
The government is useless, If they were doing their job we wouldn't have all these terroirst problems.
OMG!! This is really horrible.
I am just speechless

We don't just sit around saying how bad it is, We need to take some action.
The white house? I'm not sure if the President has any athority over this matter or not. Just because he's the main leader doesn't mean he controls all that goes on with the Country. On the other hand, I do think people should speak out about how wrong it is to take away the free choice of citizens.
Are they going to let any parents decide what's to be done or just decide for them? I'm totaly against them deciding for other people! If this is being done to avoid school bullying, discrimination, and other unfortunate acts that the attackers, not the autism, chose to inflict... then they are cureing Autism in vain! Bullies will always have their targets, there will always be those that discriminate and give bias, people who we won't ever be "good enough" for, Etc. (need I go on?)
