I have maybe 4 to 8 CDs worth of faves: Linkin Park, 311, Bush, Offspring, Rage Against the Machine, Three Doors Down, Three Days Grace, Evanensce, Nine Inch Nails, Puddle of Mud, the list goes on, but I will do it later.

That sounds like the interval act in last year's Eurovision Song Contest, Apocalyptica (I had to look them up
). I recently saw a CD review of Folk Dance Ensemble Vila performing Serbian music. Maybe I could put it on my birthday present ideas list to get me into the spirit for this year's contest in Belgrade.
Meanwhile I'm listening to the 'Infernal Dance' from Stravinsky's Firebird.
That's it! Apocalyptica. I like the ( distortion) cellos.
I am learning the cello right now- I am sounding rather distorted at the moment also.
A heavy metal lover at the music store where I work suggested that I listen to children of bodom and Apocalyptica as I haven't listened to metal before. Not a big fan of screaming but willing to keep an open mind and ears. Apparantly there is 'light' metal too.
I don't know much at all about the Eurovision Song contest. When is it?
Right now I am listening to a CD of Alvin and the chipmunks 'singing'
(Just returned from the new movie)

This year it's on Saturday 24 May.

Meanwhile I'm listening to the Ballet Music from Act 3 of Verdi's Macbeth.
Thanks Aeolienne
I am listening to Yo-Yo Ma -Bach cello suites.
Yo Ma-Ma? is this a person?
in keeping with all this double name business-one of my favorite pianists is Lang Lang. Later I may listen to/watch a DVD of one of his concerts. ( the one where he plays a duet with his father)
