If you can't live without friends (many can't) then train yourself to use logic to overcome your feelings.
Say to yourself: "I'm going to make myself feel better by talking with this person no matter what they or anyone else thinks about it!" Just don't go overboard and you should do just fine.
If they still don't like you then don't worry. They were not worth it in the first place.
