A couple other things confuse me (well, actually a lot of things confuse me, but I mean in reference to your picture)
The Iron Cross on the wall---- or is that because you are too polite to put the Hakenkreuz there?
The boss looks very feminine to me. Is it Ms. Kaminski?
BTW, I like the look over the top of the glasses----a nice touch!
Hakenkreuz is another word for Swastika.
And I envy your drawing ability; I can't even draw stick figures well. No hand-eye coordination in this old man. My art teachers and math teachers always passed me, but probably because they didn't want to have me in their classes the next year.

No, those are the famous (well, not so famous) curled hair strands that make my style so original. They really come from the indent in his hair, but I like to have them connect in mid-air.
These hair strands change position with emotion. When the character is excited, surprised, triumphant, or proud, they stuck up straight.
When the character is sad, miserable, emotionally weak, or depressed, they droop. When the character is sick or disgusted, they droop and whither.
When the character is CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY ANGRY, they may form lightning bolts! O:
For the relaxed and more neutral emotions, they curl over naturally.
When a character is dead and really unconscious, they drop completely loose as if they have no life or ability to lift themselves up at all. (A dead character on the floor may have their hair strands sprawled over the floor like normal hair) This is one way one tells a dead person from a sleeping person (cat's tails curl back and forth during sleep sometimes).
