Does anyone here, besides me, get repulsed by the sight/scent of peanut butter?

I'm so repulsed by it that I cannot tolerate the look of melted cheddar or American cheeses due to the physical resemblance of peanut butter.

Likewise, the scent makes me gag and makes me want to vomit. I remember back when I was a kid, someone sitting next to me had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and the stench made me nauseated and caused a total loss of appetite. I also let out a brief gag before going elsewhere.
Maybe you have a mild allergy.

Sometimes I'm in the mood for the peanut butter taste and go carve some out of the jar with a spoon, other times I'm not in the mood and I feel annoyed when I find a peanut butter sandwich in my lunch.

The only thing I actually hate about peanut butter is the way it sticks to the roof of your mouth.
I detest butter in general.  Like you, when I see or smell any, it makes me want to gag.  The funny thing is, I used to like it up until I was about 7 years old.  And I've never ever liked cheese either.
I like peanut butter, especially of the chunky variety.

It is great if you just want a quick snack as there isn't alot to prepare.

I never liked it in my lunchbox though, it had a habit of soaking into the bread over time, so by the time dinner came it didn't taste right.
I eat it daily.
It's okay sometimes but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it.
Child don't have all the taste bud like adult do. If you grow older, you might have a different opinion about it. However, I do agree about the melted cheese.

I almost gag when I see my sandwich that has salamies in it. The bread has blue color on it! Bleh!

Maybe being autistic causes us to have a delayed tastes bud maturity. I think that can be a good research idea!
Althiabutyrophobia: Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth.

I don't mind it myself, but I always have a little peanut butter with a fair dose of margarine. It doesn't stick to you that way. (A little different to how it's used in America, I think?) Peanut butter sandwiches do taste good to me. Tongue
I love the stuff. Makes a great sandwich or on toast. Good source of protein too.
Peanut butter on toast bread are a awesome snack!
