One thing that most of us have in common is that we're introverted.
Much of this does stem from our differences from NTs.
On the other hand, this introvertedness, at least in my case, has always made it difficult for me to tell just how many of my traits are "Aspie" and how much of them are really mundane aspects of the human condition.
For instance, I used to think that some "OCD"-ish traits that I have were "weird". But a lot of them turn out to be pretty common (like, worrying about whether I've screwed the gas cap back on as I'm driving out of the gas station, or worrying about whether I've really locked the door to my apartment). The main reason I assumed they were peculiar is that I don't go around comparing notes with other human beings.
Has anyone else noticed this?
