I'm NT and I'm more of a tomboy. I dont wear make up. I dont wear dresses unless I have to for weddings but I dont like it. I especially hate pantyhose - so uncomfortable. I'm not a girly girl either. I have mostly male friends.
I hate high heels, I only wear them when I dress up for wedding etc. I usually take them off under the table

At my wedding I just took them off and walked - my dress was to the floor so you couldnt tell anyway. I am always barefoot - cant sleep with socks on either.
I'm also untidy and don't know how women get their hair to "sit" and not fly all over the place. Comfort is first priority so things like high heels and heavy make-up don't sit well with me. I can't even wear bras with any kind of wiring or boning in them as they are too uncomfortable.

Ah, I wore flatties for my wedding!
I don't wear make-up, or girly clothes, although quite like long skirts - fit even if you've put a wee bit of weight on - and I can't go to sleep unless I've got socks on!
I never brush my hair and am resisting pressure to dye my increasing gray hairs, although I did buy a pink wig the other week. It was a moment of madness after a couple of hours in a shopping centre with my son - we both hate shopping!
The only time I've worn make-up and peerie heels (high heels) was when I was between 15 and 18 years old so I looked old enough to get served alcohol! If I tried it now I'd be taken for a drunk because I'd keep falling over and my make-up would be all over my face because I rub my eyes a lot!
Curiously, my 6 year old son has been wanting to have his hair dyed pink for some time now, and has been known to dress up as Snow White at After School Care, much to his father's horror. He has taken to wearing clasps in his hair, which he wants to grow long like a girls because they get to wear bobbles and clasps.
I've said he might get teased, but he shrugs and says he doesn't mind. Every so often he's said that he's like to be a girl, and when asked why he says "because girls have more sense".
A friend's lipstick managed to find its way into his activity cupboard last week and he was genuinely delighted when he found it. He has asked why girls can wear trousers but boys can't wear dresses. I asked this question myself as a child and have always thought it seemed unfair. I told my son that in our country and culture men didn't usually wear dresses, but it really didn't matter - it's all just fashion. He does sees Arab and African men about who wear robes, and my son has a kilt - so skirts are ok! lol!

I had to wear heels my husband is like 6 inches or so taller and I look short next to him so I wore 3 inch heels . My toes were killing . I had a manicure too which it was my first (and last
) it hurt .
If I go to a wedding now I wear flats. I would rather wear sneakers though.
I've never had a manicure, but a friend who did a "beauty" evening class put false nails on me once. They were horrific - I had great difficulty doing anything - and incredibly unhygenic, especially as my son was still in nappies at the time. Yeuch! She had to sand down my own nails to do it and they were in a really bad, weak condition for years afterwards. Never, never again. I think they look horrible and I've yet to meet a man who finds false nails attractive, or lots of make-up for that matter. Did you know that it's possible to get your eyelashes permed?!

Really? Who would perm their eyelashes LOL
My fingers were bleeding when they filed them for the manicure - they were so sore. I will never do that again.

What do you think of them trying to give me mood stabilisers for what is in affect PMT and Asperger's? I am not taking them, there is nothing wrong with me. I will have to live with the anxiety, get used to noise again and like you said distract myself from PMS, already follow diet advice regular snacks keep blood sugars level, change thought patterns and anyway my moods were bad only when something was getting me down or angry (not being listened to, being isolated for 'mental illness', having my life onhold). What the point of drugs, if they do not tackle the route causes. Nice the mental health act gives them the power to force the drugs on you. I have made the point that I do not want them and I do not have to right? Is being honest about not liking your pychiatrist a mood swing or anger at not being listened to?
have you ever tried St.Johns Wort....one a day does wonders for my moods...if you are into something more natural...of course check out what others say about it
I'm also untidy and don't know how women get their hair to "sit" and not fly all over the place.
I don't understand that either... I brush my hair every morning and ten minutes later is looks exactly the same as when I woke up (but not tangly at least). I shower at night so I don't style or put anything in my hair ever. I think most women put a lot of chemicals in their hair to keep it from getting messy immediately, at least, that's what I know my mom and sisters do.
always shampoo when you get up as opposed to b4 bed.....if you shampoo at nite you have 6 to 8 hours that you have slept on it. hair has memory like your computer, shampooing is the same as re booting. or another way to look at it when you need your hair to look its best shampoo...if it dont matter a ponytail does just fine.
My brain seems to be part male part female, I don't apply to the roles of either sex, I hate them both.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but I remember Temple Grandin said that she had to fine tune her medications, changing the dose during the month to be in sync with her monthly hormone cycle.
I am a lot older than you are but I take bioidentical hormones for a variety of reasons, aging issues, slight menopause symptoms (now totally gone), to maintain my current weight, progesterone builds bone much better than anything else, testosterone does too (and gives women boundless energy), well I could go on and on.
I am known as the "hormone" expert around here. As Sly Stallone says "in ten years testosterone will be avail. otc!".
I also put my little Aspie Hope on birth control pills last summer (I had a huge light bulb moment, so to speak) and they have made all the difference- she didn't need to deal with PMS on top of her other issues. She loves NOT getting a period now!
For more info read Dr. John Lee's stuff on hormones, or go to:

Hope this helps!

Hi, I have a question that might handle some of this. It's one of those questions that might make people upset.
The reason it "might make people upset" is that it's a bunch of homophobic crap. Being gay is in no way similar to being alchoholic, and whether or not it can be "overcome" is irrelevant, as there's no need to do so.
And "god said so" does not qualify as an educated opinion.
Hello, here is just one of many (mainly older) studies on brain theory measured by IQ and why some people from different geographic locations end up with such varying IQ's.
not written by me: I will bold what I find interesting about what this scientist, unemotionally theorized:
If someone wants to know more, I'll post names, dates, and more studies on the subject:
"Has studied 130 national intelligence quotient tests after the collection, lynne professor summarized a different local race intelligence quotient difference row of position as well as the reason.
The East Asian person (including Chinese, Japanese, North Korean) has the world highest average intelligence quotient, the mean value is 105. But after a row of position is the European (100), eskimo (91), Southeast Asia people (87), Americas native place Indian (87), Pacific Ocean islands indigenous inhabitant (85), Indian and North Africa people (84), Sahara Africans (67), Australian original people (62). But the race intelligence quotient lowest area is the South Africa desert plateau jungle person and Congo rain forest area Pygmy, the average intelligence quotient is 54.
Lynne this research has encountered the western society's criticism. He said, because has an viewpoint in the west: All races' intelligence quotient all is same, studies the race intelligence quotient the difference to consider is the racial discrimination.
Through the research, the lynne believed that, was the bad survival environment has accomplished the high intelligence quotient race.
Lynne professor to created this conclusion the reason also to conduct the research. He believed that, geography creates the race intelligence quotient difference. The reason is who survives the environment and the genes necesary to do so. Lynne professor first noted the UC to study the brain quantity evolution the expert outstanding Lisen viewpoint: In in the species evolution process, the species intelligence evolution has come under the environment important influence, also is a natural selection important attribute. The animals must want to become the survivor in the bad environment, must evolve the enough big brain capacity, like this, they use the information which through the vision, the sense of hearing and the sense of smell obtain can carry on the full analysis in the cerebrum."
Apparently this article was translated into english and some of the wording isn;t quite right, but perhaps you get his point.
I have to admit to being a bit disappointed in atypical. It appears as if I may have misjudged her character. The recent fiasco on this site has shed some light on things.
