It doesn't matter for me how messed up the education system is, because I'm in a Charter School that doesn't have to listen to the Board ^_^. Also I'm in Canada.
All the time
It's not a matter of being "competent enough", it's a matter of being less incompetent than the government-hired teachers. In general, homeschooled children do better on standardized tests than do government-educated children in the USA. Likewise, homeschoolers are not a group of isolates who communicate with nobody. There are large networks of homeschoolers here.
Lucky you. In the USA, government-run schools are often the worst possible schools in an area.
I can't vote on this poll - My answer is "it depends". Many on here know what I think about how hard it is to get a school to wrok properly for a kid who is a differnt learner or that I am against the whole middle school idea - not natural. Many schools do okay but the size of the school I think matter a lot. There is an old homeschool thread on here that talks baout alot of this - I found it to be very interesting.... as usual ATM had great posts... and I think I was first introdiced to dogbrain on that thread.... Also I realize this topic/thread/poll is very old as is Dogbrain posts here - but also very good!
Why hello there, I live in NSW also. ^^
I got bullied Year 9 and I've integrated well into my school in Year 10!
