hi everyone

not posted in a while (sorry about that). i recently finished writing a 50,000 word book about my educational journey, and what i went through. it goes from year 8 to graduating at university (two months ago).

a lot of it relates to asperger's, and how others used it to bully me or to dismiss me s they didn't understand it.

it's called "I'm Not Thick, I'm Just Socially Inept: an Aspie's Educational Journety".

if anyone wants the document with it on, send me a message and i'll e-mail it to you

thanks
luke
Make sure you send a copy to the copyright place, before emailing it to ppl you don't know, here or elsewhere...

Just a heads-up, remembering human nature.
Yes, it would be an interesting book to read...and good on you for making the effort to write it.
Hi Luke,

I think that is a real achievement, and something us Aspies would find useful to read, as well as schools and colleges that can learn a lot by just listening to us instead of professionals. Not that I've anything against professionals really, just sometimes I disagree with them regarding AS.

Have you thought about publishing it professionally?

Anna.

Hi Anna,

Have done, but don't really know how to get it published. I never really thought of using that angle, and I didn't get any help on the book from my parents (they've not even seen it yet).

Thanks for the comment.

Hi Luke,

why don't you start by looking at other books on Aspergers, and in particular what publishers were used, then send them an outline of your book and see if they are interested. Send to a few publishers, rather than just one, to increase the chance of someone being interested in the idea.

Don't give up. We need people like you.

Anna.
