Do you have SCT?
Is SCT more common in autistics than in NTs?

[SCT is Sluggish Cognitive Tempo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sluggish_cognitive_tempo ]
It sounds like what Osaka from Azu Manga Daioh might have.
What are the symptoms of this SCT?
I just read the wiki info. it sounds like I could have either one (good luck getting myself a diagnosis$$$$!)
especially...

"People with SCT are more disorganized and likely to make careless mistakes than simply become distracted and not come back to a required task." (I have both problems, although not usually at the same time)

"...they are more likely to be confused and daydreaming than aggressive and out of control." (Yep. A frequent occurance throughout my life, although even more so in childhood. I have a lot of memories of saying, "...oh... um... what?", at all ages.)

"Comorbid psychiatric disorders are of the internalizing variety: anxiety, depression, and social withdrawal." (Oh, yeah, that definitely sounds like me. Never knew there was a label for that particular group of symptoms, though. How long has the label existed?)

I don't know, but I guess it is quite new.

I believe it's from an earlier edition of the DSM. Probably either from DSM-IV or DSM-III-R. It's no longer listed in the DSM-IV-TR.

But when you posted this, I was about to say \"yes\" until I read the wiki description. I don't think it fits me too well.

If it focused on a slow thinking process (I analyze things slowly and mull over bit by bit), I would totally say yes though.
It partly fits me but not sure if enough to merit the diagnosis.
I read that it's a re-labelling of ADD inattentive, since it would seem that the innatentive subtype and the hyperactive subtype might be two different disorders altogether. dont take my word for it though
I think I have it.
