I got reffered by my doctor to see somebody last month, and I just recieved the appointment for the end of this month.
It's all happening alot faster than I expected!

What is it like? and what can I do to prepare?
I will be grateful for any advice.
Bob, congratulations on getting an appointment so soon!

My diagnostic appointment was at my state's vocational rehab agency and so it included an IQ/learning disability test, but yours may not, depending on where you go.  (I am new to this myself.)  My doctor at the agency took a history of me, to see what problems I had growing up & what my difficulties are today---not that AS is a problem, but he was looking for symptoms, for things about me that are different from the norm.  (Plenty of those!)  I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to ask all my questions...if you tend to ramble in conversation or if your time with the doctor is limited to one appointment, I would advise you to bring a list of your most important questions so you get the most out of the time you have.  Good luck & enjoy the process of discovery...
Thanks for the advice!

My appointment is taking place at the local mental institute.

I hope s/he asks alot of short easily answerable questions rather than just asking 'why do you think you have aspergers?' because if that happens i'm screwed since I have extreme difficulty getting any sort of point across.
