Heh heh, a few times over the years my total bill at the supermarket checkout counter has been $6.66, and I admit I have quickly added a small item to my purchase to make it come out different.

I would happily walk under a ladder on friday the 13th while avoiding all the unbroken paving stones and smashing a mirror which I purchased for £6.66.

13 is my lucky number, I revel when mt birthday (Sept. 13th) falls on a friday. I step on side walk cracks with joyous abandon and break mirrors without any trepidation. I don't like to walk under ladders, as I don't like things falling on me from klutzy idots doing work above.
Peace

"break mirrors without any trepidation..." Aren't you concerned about broken glass?
I reckon the walking under ladders idea must've been dreamed up by a guy who got squashed by one.
Actually, I tend to try avoiding cracks in the pavement too, but not so anyone would notice. And I like to make sure my left foot lands just before I reach the crack, rather than my right. It just feels better that way, although an annoying habit at some times.
I have more superstitions about if my morning routine goes wrong. (If the shower is cold, or someone is in it when I wake up. Or if there's no milk for the first cup of tea. Or something has changed during the night. Then the whole day just feels wrong.

If something bad happens while I'm wearing particular clothes, I won't wear them again for a long time. This has been consistent ever since I was little. Otherwise, I don't think I'm superstitious.

Well, if I break a mirror, I don't lose any sleep about it. I just clean up the glass!

Yeah, things like that don't bother me one bit.

Ever since I was little, superstisions have fascinated me. I practice a lot of them, although I don't think I actually believe any of them. My favorites are the ones that come with a rhyme:
Step on a crack, break your mother's back.
Star light, Star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, Have the wish I wish tonight.
ect.
However, in one of my other moods I'm likely to break as many superstitions as possible.
3, 7, 9, and 13 are my lucky numbers. I want to get married on the third day of the seventh month of the thirteenth year of this millenium, and if it happens to fall on a full moon, that would be perfect.
I know a really odd one, has anyone else heard of wishing on a loose eyelash when it comes out? I know only two other people who do this.

Hmm. That's an interesting one. How about wishing on dandelion seeds? Or burnt cereal flakes. There's one my mum taught me, which is that if you find a burnt cereal flake in your cereal, it means someone's coming to dinner.

I'm not at all superstitious. I also happen to own a black cat. =D I don't like breaking mirrors because I don't like breaking things. Friday the 13th can fly by, and I won't even notice.
