She was scary and also looked like she was made of some sort of rubber. Very scary eyes, something isn't right about them.

There wasn't link and I don't know how to make one. I just went to google and searched for the 'aspie quiz' it should be the first or second option.

I believe there a lot of things wrong with the belief that those with ASD canot be involved with pretend play. I for example enjoyed pretend play as a small child as long as there were strict rules (usually created by me) governing such a situation in order to make it as realistic as possible. Though I got very upset if any were broken, but I am sure that there are alot of autistics that are more flexible than me in such circumstances.

My friend who has dyslexia and scotopic sensitivity did this test at my request. She is definitly not an aspie as she is very good at socialising but she recieved a 'very likely an aspie' score based on these two co-morbids. This may be a potential problem to the quiz.

Before I continue, it is nice to talk to you again, Dr. Foster. Or, as I say in a tone both extremely respectful and familiar in a friendly way, "Dr. Nominalist." I have always enjoyed your posts. To be frank, I think that, at times, this forum sinks to a low in its level of discourse. At those times, we need intellectual elevation, and I am glad that you provide it. When people like you tend to post, the level of discourse is elevated. I say this as someone who has disagreed with you on some occasions, but who still respects your scholarship.
1) Attempts by some to elevate Aspies above other Autistics...Elitism premised on the belief that one's knowledge of computers, mathematics, or history somehow elevates oneself above common humanity, and certainly above other Autistics
With respect - I pick up a quandry in your post.
ATM - you appear to elevate Nominalist based in a course of study he has completed i.e. his doctorate. You mention his ability to elevate discourse in this forum. You seem to elevate him as a human being above other autistics and human beings. I pick up on an elitist attitude that shouldn't fit with the ideal you promote (in italics) further down in your post.

This has been playing on my mind for a few days, I don't understand your reasoning.

Yes -he is very courteous.
I kind of wish I hadn't posted my thoughts now ....
I don't know why I did.
I don't want to throw stones.

It implies that if we just blow in here to lark around, have fun and blow off steam - and most of we regulars do that at some stage - we're "lowering the tone" because we're not discussing particle physics and Shakespeare. It puts a judgement value on some things above others which I don't think is necessary - what difference does it make if I prefer Dangermouse to the Bard?
I love the more intellectual discussions - and I like the fun discussions -I love to laugh. I really don't think anyone intends to place a value judgment on these types of discussions Ethel.

Maybe he meant the arguments.
