Hi to everyone!

I'm another newby, Male 38 years old, married 4 kids, DXed myself at 37 years after I DXed my 3 year old boy then took him to doctor to make it official.  Just feels great to have found out why I have alway felt different to others.  Now I know I dont feel the urge to "pretend to be normal" any more.

Aspie score 145/200
NA Score 84/200

24 on the other test!

Anyone have any ideas why my NA score seems to be high?  All I can think is I got real good at pretending to be normalWink
Your Aspie score: 136 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 55 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Fits my profile.
Diagnosed at 12 with Aspergers by a special-ed teacher, but it wasn't a legal diagnosis back then so the result was thrown out.  Disabled at 30 with anxiety.
Just last week a friend from my late teen years emailed me out of the blue and told me that if she could send the Wikipedia article on Aspergers back in time 20 years and mail it to herself then she and I would have had a much better and healthier relationship. Thinking back I believe that completely, but it's no use worrying over the past. What is, is.

Nicely called, Lucie, and thanks for raising it.  It bothers me, too.

It implies that if we just blow in here to lark around, have fun and blow off steam - and most of we regulars do that at some stage - we're "lowering the tone" because we're not discussing particle physics and Shakespeare.  It puts a judgement value on some things above others which I don't think is necessary - what difference does it make if I prefer Dangermouse to the Bard?

It's a snub to those of us who could have gone on to further study but chose not to, and worse it's very, very hurtful to people here who don't have the "elevation" to be boffins in the first place.

Actually, I consider the Aspie fun that goes on here (the State The Obvious thread, for example) and the support and offering of advice and virtual hugs and biscuits to contribute more to the creation of a real Aspie culture than wanky intellectual discussion of wanky boring topics.
By the way...

Nominalist, I'm really sorry if this comes off as having a go at you.  It wasn't intended, but it does look like I was slagging you off.  I wasn't, and I apologise.

What I *was* having a go at was this strict definition of what an autistic person should be - a highly evolved spiritual and intellectual giant - which actually excludes more autistics than it includes.
I thought AS meant Autistic Spectrum, and covered all sorts of autism?

Argh, still getting the jargon right.

Your Aspie score: 167 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 41 of 200

All well and good, but why can I find no link to this quiz?. If it's Inger and co, I can see why, but what about this:

http://chandlermacleod.com/cmbestfit/content/btw.cfm

This will tell you if you are really autistic...and if it's not here tomorrow, then think again about how trustworthy this site is?

The right link is:
