PHEW (Sigh of relief). I once saw a poodle chase a wallaby joey. That was... er... Interesting.

My favourites are cats, dolphins, cheetahs, meerkats, and tanuki (That's a Japanese raccoon dog -- apparently related to foxes.) And seahorses because they have the best shape and because it's the male that gets pregnant.  :lol:

Interesting indeed.
Seahorses are really cool, always makes me think of that scene from Pinnochio  :grin:

Honey Badgers!

Those things are indestructible.

:lol: They can't even chase you, much less do anything to hurt you! :lol:

I love the Emperor penguins...so elegant in their geeky way.

that dosen't stop them from being the very personification of evil itself.

... Or furry, clawed, and climbing trees?

A little from column A. a little from column B.  :grin:

I adore magpies. A former neighbor had two cats which used to hang out on the lawn. The magpie couple would sit on either side of one of the cats and when he looked at one of them the other raced forward and pecked him on his tail only to retreat as the cat reacted and then the other magpie would do the same and this would happen again and again until he got fed up or someone interfered. The magpies always picked this cat to pick on. We theorized that he had been up in their tree messing with them and that they only did this as a means to get even.

Magpies are hoons.

Crow / Magpie = Kurasu
Pigeon / Dove = Haato
Duck = Kamo
Chicken = Niwatori (garden-bird)
Penguin = Pengin

nyanchan. What does "hoon" mean.

The evolution has only just begun...

Very vague translation

"I am a kitten. Every morning I meow at the sun. Cats are always cats, aren't they...?"

I was just being silly for a bit.

ichtms, a "hoon" is... um... kind of like a hooligan.

One of my favorite animals is the common house fly. I have had one visiting me for a few weeks every fall for several years. This year I attempted to feed the little guy. Smeared strawberry jam on the window. It's still there. The fly is hibernating somewhere. At least that's what I like to think..

Ooh. Sorry. That's one I can't like. They make the worst horrible noise.

My favourite insect is the Ulysses butterfly. (Those are the satin-blue ones with black edges to their wings.) My grandpa had a really large one in the centre of a glass table. It is something I remember really well.

My annual house fly visitor doesn't buzz at all. It could be that there's something wrong with my hearing. If not, something could be wrong with the fly. Worse is that there could be something wrong with the both of us. Or nothing is wrong at all.

...Or maybe it was just a different sort of fly.

A guy once told me how he found out that he had tinnitus. He heard a buzzing noise one summer day but he just thought it was wasps so he forgot about it. Next time he thought about the buzzing it wasn't a summer day but a winter day.

Even a mild tinnitus is to much of a bad thing, but I've grown  accustomed to it.

Basically, tinnitis is generally caused by damage to the hair cells on the inside of your ears. So, yeah. It's not good.

If my user name is any indication, I ADORE animals. Except insects (butterflies are alright to look at), I'm scared to death of insects. I especially love furry animals that are cuddly. I have two chinchillas that are so nice to hold. I also like rubbing my cat against my face (she doesn't seem to mind). It's probably a form of stimming.

Hehe. That's cool.

Maybe cats are kind of stimming too when they rub you against their faces.

I adore zebras.
