Barbecue--the REAL thing, not those lies perpetrated by the ignorant. It's not grilling, it's not burying a poor, innocent piece of meat in a sugar sauce. Barbecue is hours, an entire day, of slow-smoking enormous slabs of meat, possibly spiced with the occasional whole chicken.
I like cooking sauces. They're so flexible and individual, each one is an experiment and an experience.
I also like to sautée. Or my latest trick, sweating, which is done at a lower heat and sweetens without browning. A couple cloves of garlic sweated with a handfull of onion in some olive oil, good as a base for rosemary chicken or just dip in some crusty bread and enjoy.
Details change with my mood and the ingredients on hand, but mostly sauces and sautée dishes. They're just fun to make with all the stirring and flipping and shaking of pans over flame.

I love curry.

When I was 14 I went to India... and I've loved it ever since. Can't say I do it "right" usually some curry paste and coconut milk... nothing special. But yummy and warm. I would eat it everyday but hubby would probably complain at some point...
I hardly ever cook, but when get the urge I'll make a huge pot of spaghetti. Plenty of leftovers

I'm not allowed to cook. It is far better for humanity if I don't
Stir-fry - the only thing I can cook without f*****g it up!!

LOL
I like the idea of cooking-just never really turns out the way I picture it in my head. sigh.
It all starts out well, then just when everything is about to be all ready together, I get somewhat flustered. I start dropping things and bumping into open cupboard doors, or burning my fingers because I am hurrying. And I have used every fork I own-just to stir stuff.
I am quite good at chili though-one pot-hard to ruin
