THE National Autistic Society Cymru is looking for volunteers from Cardiff to join its Befriending Scheme.
The scheme provides support for families in and around the Cardiff area.
Volunteers don't need to know much about autism, but they need to be open- minded and willing to learn.
Angela Evelyn, NAS volunteers co-ordinator for Wales, said, "Befrienders receive training in autism and are supported all along the way. Befrienders can make such a difference to the life of an individual with autism and their family."
An evening training course will be held for new volunteers in October.
