I just got home today and turned on the telly to Richard & Judy (talkshow).

There was an interveiw with Troy Garity/Fonda who has starred in the film 'Milwaukee, Minnesota', in which the protaganist is apparently aspie.

However, he said he had only done two weeks preparation for the part and refered to aspergers as a 'disease'. In the clips that were shown he seemed to be doing a 'rainman' impersonation. :?

I went to   http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/milwaukee_minnesota/
to read the reveiws, but they used language like '***', and 'mentally ill' :x .

Should I go see this film, or will the portrayal make me angry? Has anyone else seen it?
I checked out the reviews, and if they meant to portrait an Aspie, they didn't know what they were doing. Because all the reviews talk of somebody mentally disabled or mildly ***. Since Aspies are neither, they were way off in their portrayal here. Since you know that they meant to show somebody who is supposed to be like us, you would likely get angry when watching the movie. I certainly have no intention of going to see it, if they will show it around here!
