I love Strawberry Shortcake, the main thing is the smell, they are so delicious.
I remember I liked the cook with the raven, and the (black?) girl with the purple hair.  Still do.

But I never had any... Maybe just as well, as I suppose I would have been allergic to them, as to most perfumes.

Sad
Purple Pieman and Sour Grapes.
Are you familiar with the new reincarnation of Strawberry Shortcake? They decided to make the pink plastic DVD cases, made especially for the Strawberry Shortcake DVDs, smell like strawberries. It's really great, like you take off the cellophane and woosh..yummy smell!

I saw a tape of the original Strawberry Shortcake awhile ago, and I recall liking the Puple Pieman. I liked when he'd do his little victory dance and sing, "A-ya-tah-tah-ta-tah-tah-a-tah-tah-tah! Cha!"
I don't like the way they changed how the dolls look though Sad
I wish they made reproductions instead.

The originals are my ideal.
I like Strawberry Shortcake.
My cough drops smell exactly like strawbery shortcake dolls.
That strawberry shortcake collection is cool.  Cool

I used to have... let's see... Strawberry Shortcake, Huckleberry Pie, Almond (something-or-other)... Can't really remember if there were any others, but a friend of mine also had Lemon and Ada. But the thing I remember about those dolls is that their scalps were always the same colour as their hair.

But I have no sense of smell so... Bummer. :veuzelol:
I had the orange doll but she lost her smell after a year or so  Sad
I envy your collection! I wanted the dolls as a child but never received any.  I do remember watching the cartoon on television though, and eating the breakfast cereal. Recently I bought a T-shirt as well.
I preferred the original dolls too. My little sister desperately wanted an original doll when they came out and I was going to buy her one for Christmas but the shop was out of stock as I left it a bit late. She was very keen on Barbies too.

I disliked Barbies except the black and asian barbies (and I am caucasian); ditto with the Kens. At one stage, you could buy metre high Barbies and if I had been a bit richer at the time, I would have bought my sister one of those. They were $199 AUS in the early-mid 80's.

Love 'em. I also love Raspberry Tart and Lime Chiffon.

This brings me back to when I was a kid in the 80's!  Personally, I did not play with "Strawberry Shortcake."  I preferred space action figures and the like.  We would sort of invent lasers out of sticks, run around, and pretend to be scared of our own shadows, make-believing them in to aliens.  I also enjoyed James Bond style spy games, which still seem to be around.

It is strange how the Eighties have come around again.  The Transformers are back, after a long hiatus.  Now, apparently, "Strawberry Shortcake."  American civilization seems to go in 30 years cycles.  The rest of the world is accelerating as well.

All the best.
