Is there a name for not being able to spell the "r" letter? I mean what should I search for on google in order to find information about it(if there is a way to learn how to spell it etc). I have never been able to spell it(I use "v" letter instead, I know some other people who use "v" instead of "r" too, one of them may be an aspy too). My parents were taking me to a psychiatrist when I was a kid(I'm 24 now) but I don't remember it being mentioned in the therapy.

Do you mean like a phonetic spelling? I've never heard of such a thing.

I don't know what is phonetic    There is even a stand-up comedian/actor in Turkey who can't spell the "r" letter and use "v" instead.
Do you mean pronounce, not spell? Pronounce means how you say something.
Do you mean WRITE?

My lower-case R looks very much like a lower-case V... so much so that my students complain about it.
my lower case r looks like a t,...
i started drawing capital Rs instead, even in the middle of words,.. but my teachers complained just as much about that as they did about them looking like t......
can't win, so i just avoid writing these days......
Yes I guess I mean pronounce Smile English is not my native language so I thought they're the same thing.

For example I say "vead" instead of "read" Smile It's not actually "vead". Me and other people who can't pronounce the "r" letter use something close to "v" but it's not always exactly the same as "v". Someone even said he didnt realise that I can't pronounce "r"

I think it's more common for english-speakers to substitute W for R when they can't say R.
V for R seems unusual to me.
Although... some accents cause people to confuse V and W, so ... why not?!

I guess I should have said I use "w". In Turkish language there is no "w" letter. It's used while talking but it's written as "v" and I dont know the difference between w in "when" and "v" in "vegetable".

W is like UUUUUUUU but not a vowel.
V is when you have your lower teeth gently against your upper lip and vibrate the lips with the air that's coming out of your mouth.

Substituting W for R is very common.  It is probably one of our most-mocked speach impediments in English.  We even have cartoon characters with that problem.

I think the proper term is articulation/phonology that you are looking for.
Did you know that an ancient Celtic n looks like a v?

I was doing a web research on ancient Celtic languages and came across a web page showing the Celtiberian alphabet.
When I was younger (about 10 years old), my best friends always used to comment about how I couldn't pronounce the "R" sound.  I just used to pronounce it as a W instead, as that is the next nearest sound.  I didn't even realise I was doing it unitl my friends told me about it.

Also, I find it hard to pronounce the "th" sound, especially at the beginning of "three".  I pronounce it as "free".

Why are some letters and sounds so hard to pronounce?

That sounds just like me before I was 13!

I find it difficult to pronounce the letter V.

I sometimes accidently say words the same way that i did as a young child. For example : " Mouses" instead of" mice !"
