My partner, who is a health visitor, is convinced I've got Aspergers and that my migraine attacks (from stress) are related to it:  It makes work difficult because I sometimes go through spates where I have on average two migraine attacks a month and am confined to bed for 3 days with vomitting 50% of the time (spates can last for several months at a time).

My question is 'Am I entitled to any benefit as a psychologist who assessed me said 'no' and trying government channels on the net, avoids replying to emails  by referring you back to their website where the answers don't exist or are not clear:  It seems people think creating a website full of generalised jargon and official-eaze (the spelling is deliberate), means they can ignore requests from real people for real answers.
You don't get paid sick leave?
What's a "health visitor?"
You could try and get incapacity benefit if you need to stop work, or you could try and get disability living allowance, you have a very slim chance for the DLA, and the incapacity benefit would partly depend on what you doctor thought and put on the form.

Can you try working part time for a while? Do you have a union and can you discuss it with them? Or try and have a month of sick due to stress?

A health visitor is a person who gives help and advice to women who have small  babies and the elderly.

Not sure, but I suspect they used to be called "the district nurse" - a nurse who would visit you in your home?
