I usually smile when bad things happen to others and to myself, too. I also get comments ALL the time about how sad I look. "What's wrong? You look so sad!" I'm not sad, I'm counting the bumps on the wall or something.

I am usually genuinely amused by bad situations and I find it hard to hide it. Sometimes my smile is natural and other times it looks really sarcastic. Most the time I just look glum. When I'm on a mission into town or something similar I look like a thug.

I used to smile at everyone because it's all I knew how to do, it was easier then saying hello because I would often just end up grunting instead.

Yes, but you mispelled it. That is why it looks weird. The correct spelling is "amongst" - in american english it is pronounced as if it is spelled "amungst"

My father told me that women are expected to smile at all times.  It is annoying when people order you to "smile" out of the blue.

Usually I avoid cameras.  I managed to dodge out of being in any of my high school yearbook photos.  About the only time I accept a camera pointed at me is in my hobby club. I feel  like a different person there.

i also do not know what else to do so i smile, i hate saying hello.

i avoid cameras like teh plauge, except when im modeling or taking photos (im into photography) becuase at which time im acting, not awkwardly poseing for a portrait liek normal photos.
