He took a lot of chances, it was inevitable. I hope he had a lot of life insurance.

LMFAO!!!!!!

When the experts reviewed the video of him dying, they said he pulled the barb out. Idiot..... Or at least stick your finger in the hole! He died cause he bleed to death.

DW a mom, tell your kids, it will be funny. Hilarious. And tell them when they are watching the movie. Now that would be funny. And video tape their reactions. It would be priceless!

I beleive he had alot of money anyhow,
aparently he bought large amounts of land in many countrys just to leave them as nature reserves.

He did not bleed to death, the poison in the barb caused a heart atack and he died almost imediately.

I'm afraid I'm not getting the humor here at all.

I'm afraid there are a lot of things said in this site which are angry and cruel. I return here because there are good people here, but am often dismayed by some of the things which are written.

There are great people here... but a vocal number of people who have heard that Aspies/Autistics don't have empathy and seem to revel in the opportunity to be callous and cruel in the name of Autism.

Makes me sick to the core.

Autistics are capable of empathy, but not very good or comfortable expressing empathy - therefore comes the notion that we are without empathy.

It is not because of Autism that some here wallow in shallow cruelty and nastiness.

Of course she'd criticised Irwin. he was male wasn't he? waited until he couldn't respond though...
Killed by a stingray? After he survived creatures that kill humans more often? When I first saw the news, I had to look at the story a few more times to see if I wasn't seeing things.
I've heard that being killed by a stingray is extremely rare.
It is indeed rare. They are not aggressive at all and do not attack humans, the only reason Irwin got stung was because he and his cameraman accidentally boxed the animal in, causing it to panic and defend itself. Most stingrays are not particularly venomous, and the venom is not what killed Irwin. The actual barb is what killed - they are lined with backwards-pointing spines that tear the flesh when they are pulled out. Despite initial reports that Irwin died immediately, he was actually conscious for a moment after he was stabbed, during which he pulled out the barb and consequently died of blood loss and heart failure (when he pulled it out, his heart and lungs were severely damaged). If he had left it in there, he might have lived, but our instincts would tell us to pull it out quickly and it would be hard, if not nearly impossible, to resist these urges.
